Emergencies, Crisis and Disaster Management Centre - Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with Oliver Wyman, the world's leading management consulting company, organized several interactive meetings and workshops with the most prominent strategic partners and relevant government agencies to design the center's strategy, which the center is working to develop into global, pioneering and proactive strategies to ensure flexibility and smoothness in facing various challenges such as cyber attacks, epidemics, logistical or climatic disruptions, and enhances the emirate of Abu Dhabi's preparedness for emergencies and crises, thus preserving the emirate's prestigious position as one of the safest cities in the world.
During the workshops, the concerned authorities expressed their observations and (visions ) and presented their vision on Crisis Management, as these government agencies are an integral part of shaping the center's strategy, where the role of this vision emerged in harnessing the center's strategy, organizational structure and operational model to serve the entire emirate and not just the center.
The emirate of Abu Dhabi has achieved exceptional and world-leading results to address the challenges of the corona pandemic (covid-19), and accordingly, this strategy will be based on advanced proactive technology that ensures maintaining the emirate's position as one of the safest cities in the world.
In this context, His Excellency Dr. Nasser Humaid Obaid Al Nuaimi, Director General of Emergencies, Crisis and Disaster Management Centre - Abu Dhabi, pointed out that this innovative strategy will support the ability of the emirate of Abu Dhabi to face crises by ensuring flexibility, harnessing world-leading technology, as well as smart investment in skills and human resources.
Al Nuaimi added:"We will rely on modern technologies to enhance the response of the emirate of Abu Dhabi, which is the world leader in confronting crises, which will enable us to take the initiative and take quick measures and preventive measures to work at the level of government departments and entities to come up with a smooth and effective response to various scenarios".
